Feedback Thoughts

The first article I read was Neil Gairman's Advice on the Creative Life.

And in this article it tells you that if you are not making enough mistakes in your life, you are not taking enough risks. Neil tells you that it is ok to make mistakes because if you make mistakes it means you are trying, pushing yourself and changing yourself.

The second article I read was Silence the Critical Voices in your Head.

This article tells you to listen to the positive voices in your head and not the negative ones. A man named Rajeev listened more to the negative feedback he received instead of the positive feedback. Studies shows for every one negative voice in our heads, we need five positive voices cancelling out that negative but unfortunately for Rajeev he did not which made him less productive. But once Rajeev did a certain method to cancel out the negative he was more productive and more engaging with his co workers. This method consisted of:

  • Look for a positive
  • Hear the positive
  • Dig in to understand the positive
  • Believe the positive and act as if it was true
