Growth Mindset
Before I watched the videos on Carol Dweck, I never really heard of her before. But after watching a few videos on her Growth Mindset, I really like the message she is trying to send to all parents and that is don't just praise children for completing something they found easy and don't praise them once they finish the task/challenge. What should be happening is they should be praised on the process of a challenge whether it be the strategy they do to undertake this challenge or even the learning they have received from the challenge.
Kids who have a fixed mindset don't work as hard as kids with a growth mindset.

One positive thing about the growth mindset compared the the fixed mindset, kids kind of like a challenge so this growth mindset puts them out of comfort zone and gives them more challenges that could be more difficult than they are used to.
I feel like learning more about the Growth Mindset this semester would be interesting as we would get a better insight on the message she is trying to send and see more results on how this strategy effects kids and their grades.
